Actor Vincent D’Onofrio from Law & Order Criminal Intent to Appear
March 24, 2013 – Pleasant Grove, UT. – The Pleasant Grove Police Department announced today the movie “Heroes Behind the Badge” will be shown in Pleasant Grove, UT. Actor Vincent D’Onofrio will make his first Utah appearance to promote the movie.
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Modern City Entertainment teamed up to create the documentary called “Heroes Behind The Badge.” The film recounts the harrowing stories of law enforcement officers who were caught in the line of fire and survived, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“It was created to show the sacrifices of the men and women of law enforcement who have put their lives on the line and survived, as well as those who have died in the line of duty,” Pleasant Grove Police Chief Mike Smith said in a statement.
The film will be shown on Friday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove High School Auditorium . The showing of Heroes Behind the Badge is sponsored by the Pleasant Grove Honorary Colonels.
“I look forward to seeing this film. The sacrifices our officers make each day often goes unnoticed. It will change the way we look at the men and women in this profession,” Chief Mike Smith said.
Vincent D’Onofrio has a long history of supporting law enforcement. His work includes playing a lead in “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” from 2001 to 2011. He has also appeared in numerous films and was nominated for an Emmy. D’Onofrio narrates the movie and is the official spokesperson for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Also appearing are ABC 4’s GOOD THINGS UTAH Hosts & Movie Producer Bill Erfurth. Pictures and autographs with Vincent D’Onofrio are available after the showing.
Net proceeds will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and local law enforcement. Tickets are $10 in advance for reserved seats, and may be ordered on line at showtix4u.com. Walk up tickets are $15 at the door.
