Defending your own home has its limits.
That's the word from the Layton Police Department, which filed two misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges against Claire B. Neiderhauser, 64, after he allegedly fired two shots at a burglary suspect.
Robert Santos Cruz, 47, is also charged with burglary, criminal mischief and other counts.
Police say Neiderhauser, the homeowner, fired shots at Cruz, Thursday night, when he arrived home to find the suspect leaving his house with a crowbar in his hand.
Police are also searching for two other suspects -- a man believed to be in his 60s and a woman in her 20s -- who were parked in the driveway, but fled when Neiderhauser arrived.
Rod will take your calls on the charges against the Layton homeowner at 4:05pm
