Civil War and Gettysburg 150th Anniversary Tour
Hosted by KNRS Radio Personality Rod Arquette
With Civil War Expert Dr. F. Ross Peterson
The Battle of Gettysburg was fought July 1–3, 1863. It was the battle with the largest number of casualties in the American Civil War and is often described as the war's turning point. After the battle Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg address, one of most succinct explanations why the battle and the losses suffered there and in the entire war were so significant in relation to the ideals forged in America by our Founding Fathers.
There is a spirit in Gettysburg. In fact that same spirit can be felt in each of the battlefields you'll visit. It makes the price paid for the freedoms we enjoy more poignant and personal. Join Dr. Peterson and KNRS radio host, Rod Arquette, for this experience on the 150th commemoration of the Battle of Gettysburg.
