Seven deer poached near St. George

St. George authorities are looking into incidents of poaching that have taken place in southern Utah, and are asking the public to come forward if they have any information regarding those who committed the crimes. According to a statement given by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources within roughly a two week period a total of seven deer were found to have been poached and left to rot. The poaching occurred between what DWR describes as three separate but similar incidents across Kane County.

All the incidents took place near the end of October, and evidence points to those responsible having been riding off road at the time it occurred. Anyone with information is asked to call 800-662-3337.
