Youth counselor arrested for relationship w/ teen

Police have arrested a youth counselor they claim had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl that he met in treatment. Mart "Marty" Clough, 32, of Midvale, has been charged with four counts of Sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, as well as enticing a minor over the internet, a class A misdemeanor. He was arrested on Thursday by officers with the Division of Homeland Security and booked into jail.

Charging documents claim that Clough became friends with a 17-year old girl while she was a resident in a youth center and receiving treatment. After she was released the pair connected on social media and over time the conversations between the two became sexual, with them eventually exchanging sexually explicit pictures and videos. The charges further state Clough had been the one to request the naked photos, and had made plans to visit the teen in St. George to have sex with her.
