A man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy is now facing amended charges and a new arrest warrant. Gildas Satas Tsaty, 40, was charged in August of 2014 with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony. Those charges were amended on May 1, and while the aggravated sexual assault charge remained, he now also faces charges of forcible sodomy, a first degree felony, and eight counts of obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.
According to charging documents, a 17-year-old boy told police that he went to a residence where Tsaty and another man charged in the case, Matthew "Ali" Levi Laue, 28, were. The pair had "a lot of alcohol, marijuana, and food," and encouraged the boy to drink. Tsay then allegedly told the 17-year-old to have sex with Laue, but when he refused Laue forced him at gunpoint to perform a sex act. According to charging documents, Laue then left and upon his exit Tsaty raped the boy.
The case against Tsaty has been going on since 2014, with multiple jury trials scheduled and canceled. A no bail warrant was issued for his arrest after the amended charges were filed. Laue was convicted of aggravated assault in 2015, and has since completed his probation according to court records.
