Jordan High School Student Darts Into Traffic, Pays The Price

A 17-YEAR-OLD JAYWALKER SUFFERED BROKEN BONES IN HIS FACE -- AND HAD SEVERAL TEETH KNOCKED OUT -- EARLY TUESDAY MORNING, WHEN HE DARTED OUT IN FRONT OF TRAFFIC, ON 7TH EAST, NEAR 106TH SOUTH.

SANDY POLICE LT. CRAIG WATSON SAYS THE VICTIM WAS WEARING DARK CLOTHING, AND THE DRIVER HAD NO CHANCE TO SEE HIM.

THE JORDAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT IS EXPECTED TO MAKE A FULL RECOVERY.

THE DRIVER -- WHO WILL NOT BE CITED -- WAS SHAKEN EMOTIONALLY, BUT OTHERWISE UNINJURED.
